Samsung Chat 350 features in India

Samsung, one of the most popular mobile manufacturers in the world, has announced the launch of a new touch screen phone, Samsung chat 350. Also known as chat C 3500, the smart phone has a very affordable price and spectacular features. The Samsung chat 350 price in India is around 10,000/- rupees in Indian market and is expected to go down in a few months time. Inspired by the design of old Samsung Champ, the phone has many additional features that attract the middle class customer who has a liking for sophisticated gadgets.



The Java MIDP 2.1 enabled phone has Quad band GSM connectivity without 3G. The frequencies of operations are of GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. The slider phone has a QWERTY key pad which is the main difference from Samsung champ in the looks. The 2.4 inches TFT resistive touch screen has QVGA display. The screen resolution is 240x 320 pixels with 256K colors. The connectivity settings include GPRS of class 10(4+1/ 3+2 slots) at a speed of 32 to 48 kbps. IT also comes equipped with blue tooth v 2.1 with A2DP. The phone does not have wireless protocol or other connectivity features like infra red or EDGE. There is a proprietary operating system and WAP 2.0/xHTML and HTML browsers for direct internet access. Chat 350 does not support 3G.



The Samsung Chat 350 has an FM radio with RDS and option to record live radio while it is being broadcasted. The music features are excellent with a good quality built in speaker and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Many video and audio formats are supported by the phone. The music player can play songs in WMA, eAAC+, WAV and MP3 formats. The phone has a 2.0 mega pixel camera with digital zoom using which QCIF video recording at 15 fps is also facilitated. The picture quality is impressive with an image resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The video player can play videos in MP4 and H.263 formats.



The internal memory of the Samsung Chat 350 is 20 MB and it can store 1000 phone book entries and a reasonable number of call records and messages. The external memory is expandable up to 8GB using a micro SD card. Chat 350 runs on a standard Li-Ion 1000mAh battery which can give a talk time of 12 hours which is rather long comparing the other phones in the same segment. The stand by time of the battery expected is 666 hours. The phone is comparatively thicker because of the slider key board. The dimensions are 99.5x52x15.5 mm and it weighs about 99 Gms.The color options of the phone are black, white and silver right now. Poly phonic and MP3 ring tones are available in the phone and the users also have the choice of downloading more of them as per his wish.
