Motorola Xoom features and specifications review

Motorola Xoom is an amazing phone manufactured by Motorola which is an American Company. This amazing phone was officially announced on 5th January, 2011 and it is expected that the phone will be available in the market within a few weeks of its launch. This phone will come with a price tag of Rs. 35000.



This Motorola Xoom supports 2G network in the form of various version of CDMA networks. The phone is light as it only weighs 730g and it has dimensions of 249 mm X 167.8 mm X 12.9 mm. It also comes with an attractive 10.1 inches touch screen that supports many colors and a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels. It has two cameras among them is a 2 megapixel camera that is at the front for video calls and another 5 mega pixel camera at the back that comes with high functionalities as well as high quality video recording.. The tablet has an internal memory storage of 32GB which is more than enough for any storage requirement but still comes with an SD card support.

The Motorola Xoom supports high speed Bluetooth, WI-Fi and USB connectives. The features of Xoom include a reliable 1Giga Hertz dual-core processor that is supported with 1GigaBytes of random access memory (RAM). This phone also operates on Android 3.0 operating system that makes the phone more efficient and fast. It has internet browsing capability that supports both HTML and Flash. It comes with applications such as Face book and Picasa among many other applications that are built in. This phone also comes with components such as wireless Bluetooth keyboard and many ports for connecting various devices. This phone also comes with other features like gyroscope, compass to help in getting directions, barometer and GPS for phone detecting the phones location hence providing security. The battery is a Li-Ion that can give duration of up to 10h video playback.

The Motorola XOOM is the first tablet manufactured by the American company Motorola and will launch in the first quarter but the 4G functionality will come much later in the second quarter after an upgrade. The excitement surrounding this device mostly comes due to the fact that it is the first tablet to run Google’s tablet optimized Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, this will bring a lot more functionality to the device. Thanks to the many outlets that Motorola, the device will soon be in a stall near you.
